2017 will be remembered acrimoniously. The national scene is frayed with corruption, incompetence and destruction.

But now we turn the page to 2018. Our democratic power remains in our vote. I remain steadfastly focused on healthcare, public education, environmental justice, campaign finance reform, jobs and transit infrastructure, affordable housing and fighting the wrath of homelessness.

This is our moment. This is our time. We can direct California to lead not only the country, but the world in creativity and innovation. Let’s get to work.
