Healthcare is a human right. Some would deny America access to healthcare because of cost. The Sanders Institute has provided a succinct analysis about implementing SB 1804 Medicare for All Act.
Thank you Stacey Abrams for a positive and unifying message for America.
Although we fell short in our campaign in the 75th Assembly District, my desire to represent my neighbors remains strong.
Your opinion matters to me. Some want my to run for the 75th again. Others would like me to focus on my local community (where I received 63% of the vote last November) and run for San Marcos City Council (District 3).

In the News…
“Applicants included well-known, or former, leaders like Alan Geraci, who lost the 2018 State Assembly race to Marie Waldron but won big in San Marcos and Escondido and Mark Loscher, a San Marcos councilman from 1986 to 1994, who moved back to the city late last year. When asked by Jenkins if he would pledge to serve out his term and not run for another office, Geraci said yes.”
The San Marcos City Council selected Jay Petrek to fill the vacant seat 4-0. The reasoning was that Jay Petrek is experienced in municipal governance (he’s the Assistant City Manager for Escondido)and he doesn’t live in Districts 3 or 4 (up for election in 2020 so as to not create an “incumbent”). I live in District 3.
Congratulations to Jay Petrek.
Housing, housing, or housing. California’s challenges this next decade.
Many ask me about the hierarchy of Party decisions. This is a good illustrations how California Democratic Party decisions are made.
There are 13 applications for the open SM Council seat. Tomorrow is the deadline. The special meeting of the Council is Tuesday, January 15 at 6:00 pm.
