We celebrated Chinese New Year with fabulous costumes, dinner, and music. The silver dragon almost got me but I fended it off bravely!

Wow. Thanks to 98% of the local delegation and activists, we achieved the endorsement of the California Democratic Party.

Now the work of building our coalition to a winning campaign begins. The June 5 Primary is a little more than 3 short months away. We will continue to fight for healthcare reform, strong public schools, a sustainable renewable energy grid by 2030, and campaign finance reform. Together, we will win.

Today, our campaign received the important endorsement from the San Diego County Democrats for Environmental Action by unanimous consent. Our commitment toward 100% renewable energy by 2030 requires the political will to make it happen. I will fight California cities who choose to allow development contrary to the County’s General Plan, who ignore the needs for transit infrastructure and I will tackle the complex issues of homelessness which transcends issues such as veteran rights, mental healthcare, affordable housing and more.
